While we were in New York we saw the Broadway Musical, In The Heights.  It was absolutely amazing!  One of my all time favorite shows.  The lead was Jordin Sparks, 2007 American Idol winner and singer of several #1 hits!  She was so nice and bubbly!

Candy Corn Contest

Today I started reading a book aloud to the class called, The Candy Corn Contest, by Patricia Giff.  We are going to have our very own candy corn contest in the classroom.  The girls will have several opportunities to guess how many candy corns are in the jar.  The winner will win the ENTIRE jar of candy!!!

Ways to earn a guess for the jar:

1.  Make a 100% on an AR test.

2.  Exceptional behavior.

Contest Ends on October 29.  The girl with the exact or closest guess wins! 

Please Note:  If there is a tie, the jar will be divided in half.
